  • Association for Library Service to Children - Information on the activities of one of the youth-serving divisions of the American Library Association including awards, Notables lists, and the ALSC Handbook of Organization, with links to general information about ALA and to other organizations serving children.
  • Barahona Center for the Study of Books in Spanish for Children and Adolescents - An academic center at California State University, San Marcos, that promotes literacy in English and Spanish by providing information about books centered around Latino people and culture and about books in Spanish and their value in education of English-speaking and Spanish-speaking children and adolescents.
  • CBC Online - The Children's Book Council, a non-profit trade association of children's book publishers and producers of related library materials for children, creates and distributes programs and publications for professionals working with children, and sponsors National Children's Book Week each November.
  • Children's Literature Center of the Library of Congress - Serves organizations and individuals who study, produce, collect, interpret and disseminate children's books, films, television programs and other forms of materials destined for children's information and recreational use through special collections and research help.

  • International Board on Books for Young People - A non profit organization representing a network of people from around the world committed to promoting international understanding through children's books.
  • International Children's Digital Library - A database of full-text children's books made accessible online for the purpose of inspiring the world's children to become members of the global community.
  • International Reading Association - A professional membership organization dedicated to improving the quality of reading instruction, disseminating research and information, and encouraging the lifetime reading habit.
  • Nassau School Library System - The official NSLS site includes information about its activities and workshops as well as links to important education information including New York State Standards.
  • National Council of Teachers of English - A professional association of educators in English Studies, Literacy and Language Arts.
  • National Storytelling Membership Association - Resources and news of events related to the art of storytelling, including a directory of storytellers accessible by name, keyword or region.

  • United States Board on Books for Young People - Serves as the U.S. national section of the International Board on Books for Young People and facilitates the international exchange of information about books and reading.
