HUMAN RESOURCES

The function of the Human Resources Office is to administer and maintain benefits for SCLS staff, to offer continuing education and training programs, and to administer payroll.

The SCLS Staff Handbook, the CSEA/SCLS Contract, the Building Safety and Security booklet and the SCLS Guide to Programs and Services are produced and updated by the Human Resources staff.

Human Resources also offers the following:
• Annual Staff Day
• "Right to Know" Hazard Communication Program
• Building tours for member library staff
• Employee Assistance Program (EAP) activities and liaison to EAP Central Offices
• Defensive Driving program for SCLS drivers and other staff members
• Assistance with Annual Trustee Workshop
• Assistance with Annual Meeting of SCLS Board of Trustees and Directors
• Administrator's Library (a file of library policies and procedures available for borrowing by member libraries)
• Tours of member libraries for SCLS staff
• Maintenance of CEU database
