New Digital Media at Quogue Library
SuffolkWave Digital Media to Your Home Computer from the Library Webpage

The Quogue Library is pleased to announce a new service, SuffolkWave, which cardholders can use to download a variety of digital media to their home computers.

A cooperative project involving Suffolk County public libraries, the Suffolk Cooperative Library System, and Overdrive Inc., SuffolkWave is accessed from here and allows library patrons to download audio books, music, and video to their home computers, which then may be transferred to many popular portable devices. Patrons will need a valid library card, broadband access to the Internet, and a home computer to access SuffolkWave materials. A one-time free download of OverDrive Media Console is required to use the downloaded files. This service is intended for home use and is not available on library computers. Need more help? Please note that, due to village-imposed fire regulations, all programs at the Quogue Library require registration. By registering before a program takes place, you will be ensured a space for the program you would like to attend, and we can learn more about the programs and special events you would like to see take place at the library. Welcome to Your Library

Looking for a warm and inviting place to curl up with a good book or magazine? The Quogue Library has a spacious yet cozy, area for reading and research, along with expanded shelf space. We have managed this growth without sacrificing our small-town charm.
The Library now possesses more resources for our patrons, along with a vast array of events and services. Aided by the financial assistance of generous residents and supporters who funded the renovations, and maintained by a dedicated staff who are mostly volunteers, the Quogue Library has become a source of pride and a symbol of community spirit for the village.computersOne of the most noticeable features of the facility is a roomy computer lab. The lab provides the community with the convenience of direct Internet access and several other online services. Residents who are not yet computer literate will have the opportunity to learn computer skills in computer classes which are offered.

The enlarged Art Gallery has a new exhibit by a local artist each month. comfy chairs Keep posted for reception and exhibit announcements. Children will be treated to a larger assortment of programs and events to assist them in reaping the benefits of the library's learning environment. Then again, people of all ages can enjoy the Quogue Library. All in all, the residents of the Quogue area should hurry down and be part of the community spirit that the library offers and nurtures.

Online Book Clubs

Join our OnLine Book Clubs and start reading books in your email. Each day we’ll send you a 5-minute portion of a book. By the end of the week, you’ll have read 2-3 chapters. If you’d like to finish a book, stop by the library and pick up a copy. Every week we feature new books. Sign up today and start reading tomorrow. Visit our "Best Books" page to learn more and see what we’re reading. Book jackets are updated weekly on our Best Books page.
